I've got to be straight with you, you see the godfather… well, he's asked me to take you on a short walk. He thought you were on track to be a big earner and an asset to the family but you're not raking in quite like you used to and quite frankly, the godfather's tired of you wasting family resources.

You have got to get your finances in order and make sure that you are earning more than you are spending. Some items, particularly weapons and vehicles, require an hourly upkeep charge to keep them maintained. Your total upkeep cost is listed in red text on both your Inventory and Properties pages.
Purchasing and upgrading properties will generate an hourly income, but you have got to make sure that you own enough properties to cover all your expenses. If your income is in the negative then you are losing money every hour, and if you don't have the cash on hand then it will be taken out of your Bank.
Remember, if you're not making money, then the godfather's not making money and the godfather… well, he loves to make money. So do yourself a favor and take care of this. If you don't start pulling your weight our next walk might be down a short pier.
